Gregg and Ringo

Hello everyone,

I just heard that Gregg Bissonette and his brother, Matt, are backing Ringo Starr for all these up coming shows. They're performing tonight (Thursday) on Leno, with shows next week on Good Morning America, Regis, Carson Daly, and Cohnan.

No shit, thats great. The B. Borthers actually have a Beatles tribute thing they do once in a while. They're a great team, and very nice guys.

BTW I saw Gadd with Paul Simon on Letterman the other night. That was cool.

I actually had JUST read this about 7 min. b4 the Ringo segment aired & turned the TV & VCR on just in time to catch it [right as O'Reilly's segment on Leno was ending]...so, thanx 4 that...
...When Gregg was last here in clinic 8-17-02, he played along to a nice track of a Beatles' segue/medley [on which Matt & i believe Rocket Ritchotte & Brett Tuggle also played]; it was pretty cool...
...seen/heard him numerous times [w/ Maynard, DLRoth, Satch, Gambale, his solo work[s]] - he's a fine player & a very affable guy...

Gregg NAILED the ELO stuff he recently played on. Great sound, snare was perfect, and the feel was there. I don't think he used gigantic roto-toms, tho.

Gregg Bissonette is one of my favorite drummers. I really enjoyed seeing him with Ringo on the tonight show. When I saw Gregg's drum clinic in 2002, he did a very entertaining Ringo tribute. Peace.
